The shop is a collaboration between three small businesses: Cheeky’s Vintage, HouseMouse Books & Vintage, and indigro plant design.

Owner of Cheeky’s Vintage
Inspired by MCM designers like Ray & Charles Eames, Russell Wright, Eva Ziesel, and Georges Briard; Heather launched Cheeky’s Vintage in 2021 as a pop-up outfront of a local Takoma Park business. In addition to her weekly pop-up, she also sold her vintage finds at local flea markets, fairs and festivals throughout Maryland.
In 2022, Cheeky’s opened their first “Brick and Mortar” store in The SoHy Arts Building in Hyattsville, MD. After 3 years in Hyattsville, she is excited to be a part of Laurel Leaf and can’t wait to be back in Takoma Park!
Cheeky’s Vintage features MCM and Danish modern furniture and decor. At Cheeky’s you will find an array of well curated vintage items including; barware and glassware, wall art, home decor and furniture. Cheeky’s is committed to bringing beautiful and one-of-a-kind vintage furniture and decor to her customers at affordable prices.

Owner of HouseMouse Books & Vintage
Orly first opened HouseMouse in 2022 because she wanted to create a unique space in Takoma Park featuring highly-curated used books. HouseMouse takes pride in sustainably sourcing its selection of used books and vintage objects.
HouseMouse also hosts an escape room experience, designed for groups of 3-6 people (ages 16+) and lasts about an hour.
The escape room experience will be available at Laurel Leaf soon - stay tuned!

indigro specializes in artful plant styling. At indigro, we love helping folks choose the right plants and educating about their care.
Pairing plants with planters is one of our signature services. You can be sure to find a variety of styles including local & handmade pottery.
Our DIY plant bar is fully stocked with vessels, plants & accents to create your terrarium.
Our community plant wall is full of free cuttings available to anyone wanting to learn or expand their plant collection.
